Not really a fort, but almost as big as one, this Pueblo Revival masterpiece, complete with stucco exterior and a rainwater reclamation system, is the latest Rainbow Adobe creation.
The Fort is perched at the top of one of the mountains in Sierra La Rana, outside Alpine. With four bedrooms, three baths, a den, office, and more, it is the perfect place to watch the amazing skies. The flagstone back porch is uncovered, making dark sky watching a treat. A covered “ramada” is on the west end of the house and the water reclamation tanks rest behind the garage.
The interior includes the Great Room kiva, a striking focal point, while traditional Talavera tile brightens up each bathroom. The kitchen cabinet doors are inlaid with salt cedar. Custom cabinets, with the trademark rings, include linen closets in all three bathrooms.
